Why Pullman Why?!

Here is a recap of what I did this weekend.

Friday: I was fairly diligent but tired, so I didn't run but I made a yummy dinner by altering one of my Hungry Girl recipes. I wanted to do something with the white fish (not sure which kind flounder/snapper?) and wasn't sure what to do. In one of my HG cookbooks I found a quick and easy foil pack recipe. It called for asparagus, but I didn't have any, so I used carrots instead. You put the veggies on the foil, put the fish on top of that. Then, you spread the butter, garlic, parsley, salt spread on the fish and place lemon slices on top of that. You fold up your foil and bake at 400 for 15mins. It was pretty easy and no dishes to clean! EVEN BETTER!

So carrots weren't the best veggie for this recipe b/c they were still a bit crunchy, but that's didn't really bother me. Next time I will have to try the proper vege. While I was eating, Immy was hunting bugs. And I even got this shot of her hunting a waspy/hornet thing. I think she wasn't able to eat this one but she does a good job at hunting spiders in the winter.
I will get you my pretty!

After dinner, I decided that I needed something sweet. What I decided on was Papa Murphy's cookie dough. PM's just happens to be about at the end of my driveway, so Heif and I went for a walk. This was his first public appearance since his winter skin debacle. We didn't see anyone alone the way, so no issues there. I felt better about eating the cookie dough after I had just walked 20 mins round trip for the stuff (I have a long driveway)! I ate some cookie dough and watched my Friday Dateline and fell asleep on the couch to wake up to Jay Leno and the crazy asian guy from the Hangover 2. I SOOOO WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

Saturday: I told myself that I was going to wake up and go to work like a good grad student. What I didn't really expect was the beautiful weather that was in front of me. This resulted in laying around the house in the beautilful weather and finally taking my winter insulation (plastic) off of my windows and actually opening them to let fresh air in my house.... FRESH.AIR!!!!! It was lovely. I did make some cream puffs for the BBQ that I was going to that afternoon. They ended up being banana ones b/c I didn't have an vanilla pudding and I think they came out alright.

Sunday: It was sunny in the morning and rainy/overcast the whole rest of the day. I had told myself on Saturday that since it was going to be poopy out on Sunday that I should be a good grad student and go work when the weather was bad. This turned into me laying around the house all day watching sports cuddled in a blanket. Yes, I even watched some golf. THE HORROR! (I'm not a big fan of the golf.) Maybe if I played it, but I'm horrible at Put-Put, so I've decided that I'm horrible at golf too.

Monday: I woke up to torrential downpours and wind! Yea. That's exactly how I want my Monday to start. My furnace even kicked on while I was semi-conscious in bed. That means that it was colder than 55 in my house on May 16!!! COME ON PEOPLE! Hopefully research will be productive today since I was bad and lazy this weekend. Fingers crossed everyone!

Tonight, Erin and I are going out for PIZZA HUT!!! We've been good the past few weeks and I have made it to a all-time low as far as weight loss goes! 177.2 baby! This calls for celebration and pizza! Good-bye 177.2 until I get over my pizza and get my run on!

What are your special splurge foods?
