I'm famous!

Ok. Maybe not just me, but me and my dog. We were featured in the Pullman-Moscow Daily News (picture below) and the WSU Today Online Magazine. I just wish it was a better picture of me but it's kind of amusing that Heif is going after my hotdog.
Blogger. Why do you do this to me?

Last night after work, my labmate, JJ, and I took a Prospective Grad student out for dinner. We went to Gambino's in Moscow, which is the best Italian place in the local area if you ask me. We got bread twists and a sampler plate for appetizers and I got a #71 which is a "lightly-breaded chicken breast, ham, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and cream sauce over fettucini--from the original Gambino's menu!" I almost forgot to take pictures and the JJ reminded me I should for the blog! :) Thanks JJ!
Mmm...Cheesy!

I was only able to eat about 5 bites of this but have enough for about 3 meals here. Hello lunch tomorrow! I made sure to save room for dessert and we got Zeppoles which are Italian mini donuts with dipping sauce. They give you little sticks to stab the deliciousness with and then you can dip them in chocolate, caramel or berry sauces. I tried all three but liked the berry the best!
It's like fair food but better!

After dinner, I rode the motorcycle to Winco b/c I needed to stock up on greek yogurt and frozen fruit to put on it. I ended up with 3 tubs and raspberries and blueberries. I felt like a Hunchback the whole 8 miles back to Pullman. Also, it was about 50 degrees, which makes going 55mph on a bike FREEZING! My fingers and thighs were thankful when they could finally thaw out.

When I got home it was just about 8pm and that means DWTS Finale part 1. I want Heins to win b/c I bleed the BLACK & GOLD *Flying my Terrible Towel*!!! Sadly, I won't be able to watch the finale tonight b/c I will be watching the Biggest Loser Finale.

Who do you want to win this year's BL title? What about the At-Home prize? Who will make the top three?

I have been asked about my use of chia seeds. I can't say like they taste like anything but are a bit chewy once you soak them. I have put them in greek yogurt and oatmeal. Here's the oatmeal. It's not pretty, but it's yummy and keeps me full all morning.
oatmeal, banana, almond butter, chia seeds

If you use chia seeds, what do you like to put them in?

What other healthy food finds are out there that you like?
I'm pretty open to most new things (no raw fish!) and if I can find it, I'm willing to try it. Let me know!

  1. Apparently I need to start watching The Biggest Loser... I never have, but I think I'll watch this year's season on the online TV site we subscribe to (it saves my sanity over here in Korea, LOL)
